. Beekeeping is often involved in environmental concerns. The bee is an
introduced insect. As such it has been attacked for outcompeting and adversely influencing
wild insect populations that eat nectar and pollen. In addition, the honey bee also is
undoubtedly involved with the health and propagation of introduced plants, many of which
might be called weeds.
