Graduate students in the Miller Lab

Ummat Somjee

Ummat in Panama

Ummat completed his M.S. degree in the Miller Lab in 2014. He has studied sexual selection across space and time and the expression of testes and weapons in the heliconia bugs in Panama. Now Ummat is working on his Ph.D. with a University Fellowship through the UF School for Natural Resources and the Environment.

Daniel Sasson

Sasson

Daniel is a Ph.D. student in UF Biology who is also completing a portion of his dissertation in the Miller Lab. Daniel is interested in sperm competition and testes development. He is currently looking at genetic and phenotypic influences on the expression of testes and sexually-selected weapons.

Pablo Allen

Pablo in the field

Pablo began his Ph.D. in the fall of 2012 on a UF University Fellowship. Pablo previously completed his M.S. at the University of Costa Rica and has years of experience working with U.S. undergraduate students on field courses in Costa Rica.
