Profile:

     Teresia Nyoike was born in Kenya, Africa.  She finished her BS in Agriculture on August 2001 from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.  In August 2001, she joined Dudutech Kenya Ltd., an Integrated Pest Management company, as an IPM Specialist with special emphasis on pests and diseases of flowers and vegetables.  Dudutech produces bio-control agents for its sister company Homegrown, Kenya Ltd and for the export market.  In August 2005 she joined the Small Fruit and Vegetable IPM Laboratory, University of Florida in Gainesville to pursue her MS in Entomology. She has since graduated with a MS in Integrated Pest Management  (IPM), specifically investigating the effects of living and synthetic mulches in suppressing  aphids and whiteflies in cucurbits
