The activity was coordinated by multi-county extension faculty, Mr. Gary England. Approximately 20 growers and 3 extension agents from surrounding counties were present (February 26th 2009).

  • Liburd, O. E. 2008. Strawberries Virtual Field Day. (Rosies Organic Farm). This involved IFAS Communications and it was essentially a video documentary of pest management activities to control twospotted spidermites in strawberries on a grower farm (April 29th 2008).

  • Liburd, O. E. 2008. Blackberries Field Demonstration in Citra. A demonstration of the “Shift Arm Rotation Trellis System” to local organic blackberry growers in Florida (June 19th, 2008).

  • Liburd, O. E. 2008. Bi-annual Certified Crop Advisor Workshop. A 1-day IPM training workshop was hosted by my laboratory at the South Florida Community College in Sebring, Florida. About 20 agricultural personnel that consisted of crop consultants, County Extension Officers, organic farmers, and industry representatives attended. Information on surveillance and monitoring for pests, principles of organic farming, pesticide calculations and correct use of pesticides were presented during the one-day workshop (October 15th, 2008).
