Introduction

Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge is located in West Palm Beach County, Florida, on the north-eastern edge of the Everglades. Three areas are mapped in the park; two of these areas have been being monitored by volunteers since April 2002. Bromeliad species presently selected for monitoring includes Tillandsia fasciculata and T. balbisiana.

that is being conducted in
Florida's State Parks and Refuges,
which in turn is part of a larger effort being conducted by
Dr. Howard Frank and Dr. Barbra Larson at the University of Florida,
Save Florida's Native Bromeliads
