The Fly Schedule for Lixadmontia franki chronicles fly releases made from June 2007 to September 2008.

Bromeliad and weevil populations were monitored from 2001 to 2005 at Myakka River State Park,Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Highlands Hammock State Park, Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, and St. Sebastian Preserve State Park.

The Pine View Weevil Watchers have been monitoring bromeliads at Myakka River State Park since 2002.

Surveys have been conducted in Florida from the time of the weevil's appearance in the state, to track its spread. A chronicle of sitings may be found at Bromeliad Biota: History of Metamasius callizona in Florida.
