The oleander aphid, Aphis nerii Boyer de Fonscolombe. Adults are 1/8 to 1/16 inch long and are bright yellow with black markings. They usually disappear during the summer months due to high temperature and predation from natural enemies. This aphid feeds on the young shoots and buds of oleander.
