PYRETHROIDS: These are synthetic compounds produced to duplicate or improve more or less successfully on the biological activity of the active principles of the pyrethrum plant. Pyrethrum is a natural botanical insecticide, the active principles of which are extracted from the flowers of the pyrethrum plant, and are known collectively as "pyrethrins."
