• Pitfall Collecting notes - be kind to animals, use a non-toxic preservative in your pitfall traps. Standard antifreeze contains Ethylene glycol which is fatal to many animals when they drink it. RV and Marine antifreeze contains Propylene glycol, a safe, non-toxic preservative. Be sure you use the latter. You may find it in the Boat and RV sections of dept stores such as WalMart.
