ALS 3203 - Lesson 6
"The Quilt Challenge"

If you understand tables and colors you should be able to create the following pattern using HTML codes. Here are a few clues:

  • The complete quilt design consists of 3 copies of one pattern
  • Each pattern is comprised of 72 cells
  • Red has a "hex" code of #ff0000 (those are zeros, not O's)
  • Blue has a "hex" code of #0000ff (those are zeros, not O's)
  • Green has a "hex" code of #00ff00 (those are zeros, not O's)
  • Look at glossary examples
  • Use your classmates, discuss and compare ideas and notes (List-serv???)
  • Once you have figured out a complete pattern, this becomes a "cut and paste" exercise!
When you have succeeded, send your HTML document (name it "lastname"_quilt_design.htm - of course replace lastname with your lastname) as an email attachment. You may wish to consult each other on this. That's ok. You may of course work alone. This is a challenging exercise!
