  3. Learn how to copy and paste chart (graph) into document
  4. Learn the mechanics of assembling a multi-page document
Lesson Tasks: If you are not clear on how to do these, use the Help menu for your program and read how to accomplish these tasks.
  1. Create a blank word processing document, Choose File, new, then save the new document as "lastname_firstname_12.doc" or if you use Word Perfect, "lastname_firstname_12.wpd" (you know what this means by now, I hope!)
  2. Create an un-numbered title page, containing only your name (14pt, bold, Arial or Helvetica), the date (10pt Times Roman or Schoolbook), and your email address (8pt Italics (typeface of your choice), each on separate lines, centered both vertically and horizontally on the page.(see .pdf example). DO NOT USE THE ENTER key to move these up and down the page. Place the University of Florida Logo (lrgbltran.gif) centered at bottom of page(in a footer, displayed only on the title page)
  3. Create a Table of Contents on page 2, with dot leaders to page numbers. Begin document page numbering on page following title page, centered in footer. Begin page numbering at 2. (see .pdf example)
  4. Copy and paste your spreadsheet data (from lesson 11, NH#1...) into your document into page 3.
  5. Insert a blank Excel or other, e.g. a QPro worksheet, also into document page 3, then enter some data into it.
  6. Copy and paste any 2 graphs from lesson 11 into your document into page 4. Center these on the page. Have a caption for each one.

Choose file, Save as and save it to your computer. OR, right clicking should give you the choice of Save Target as..use either method to obtain the file for formatting.] scrub_end.txt) beginning on page 6 with 0.3" hanging indents. Have a single blank line between each reference. Use 8 point Arial font for the references.
  9. Send your finished product to me as email attachment. Be sure you name the file according to the instructions here. Your images will be imbeddced in the document so you will not need to send them to me as separate files.
  10. Complete Lesson Completion certificate
Lesson Resources:
  1. Your own clipart images, .pdf file model, file for references (scrub_end.txt).
