ENY 3005 and ENY 3005L

Principles of Entomology and Co-Requisite Lab

ENY 3005 is designed as the introductory course for entomology majors and also as a general education biology (B) course for the general student population. Students will learn fundamentals of the science of entomology including insect collection and curation, morphology, physiology, behavior, ecology, management and impact on human culture.

ENY 3005L, a co-required course, is designed to give students hands-on experience with insect collection and curation, internal & external anatomy, behavior, biological control, forensic entomology, systematics and social insects. Students will don protective gear and "work bees".

Separate grades will be given for each course. Links on this page will take you to pertinent information on both courses. From there, use the buttons provided to return to this page. Welcome!

Beginning with Summer A 2009, the University of Florida will implement a Minus Grades scale. If you are not familiar with minus grades and the new grading scale go to: http://blog.webadmin.ufl.edu/2009/03/09/minus-grades-information-for-your-web-pages/
